Okay, people, enough is enough. Apparently some folks have trouble telling the difference between a site to discuss the pros and cons of relena, and a site to discuss the pros and cons of yaoi. This is not the place for yaoi discussions. Yes, we have yaoi on our site. That is because 3/4 of us like yaoi, and the fourth doesn't mind it. Not to mention having relena "find out" about Heero and Duo, or Heero and whoever, is a fun method of torture. Anyway, I (Sithjester) have added this page to give my arguments on yaoi (some of them, anyway...), and tell you anti-yaoi folks to please shut up.

Who are you to decide that? You didn't create the show. People, especially anti-yaoi people, need to realize that there aren't any pairings at all in Gundam Wing. Is that so hard to understand? This isn't an anime about romance. There are no straight or gay pairings. The creator himself said that there are no "boy-girl relationships". It is left open to interpretation. Doesn't the fact that the vast majority of GW fans are yaoi fans, in America and Japan, kind of tell you something? Not to mention that most of the straight couples wouldn't work. I mean, Heero and relena? Come on, the only sign of affection at all between them is when he gives her the teddy bear. Duo and Hilde? They seem like good friends to me, no romance there. They go on one "date" and she ogles Trowa. I don't even think I need to say anything about Trowa and Catherine (brother and sister) or Quatre and Dorothy. (Where did the idea of them as a couple come from?) There is some connection between Wufei and Sally, Treize and Une, and Zechs and Noin, but they're the only straight pairings that have any authenticity.

Actually, all you have to do is look at their personalities. Just forget about gender for the moment. Heero and relena are not compatible. It's just common sense. I could write a thesis on why they would not work out, but I won't go into that here. It's kind of obvious.

I have noticed that no one who has left us an anti-yaoi message has given any proof. They just said "Heero does not love Duo" or "It's sick and wrong". Well you know, your personal preference does not decide things. Do you see us going around saying "Heero does for a fact love Duo. Straight pairings are sick and wrong." Well, we do think Heero being with relena is icky, but that's because we hate her, not straight pairings in general. Anti-yaoi fans don't like it simply because they don't like homosexuality, which I think is sick and wrong.

Anyway, to wrap things up, do not send us any more anti-yaoi comments! If you have a question or comment about it, politely send it to Sithjester. Thank you.

Hello all! I am that fourth person who isn't into yaoi of GSMS. What Sithjester says about me is true. I'm not into yaoi but I don't mind it. I think people like yaoi because they want to be different and stand out from those who just like straight couples. Anime is about your imagination. People make their own fanfics to interpret that unique imagination they have. What they say is what they believe and not what's official.

What is wrong with having some kind of personal fantasy? We call these dreams. It's just like those who drool over bishounen. They dream that the characters they like are real and do what they want them to do. The same thing applies to yaoi, I believe. It's just that their fantasy is of guys together. Is that so wrong? Your opinion is your own. It's what you think that counts. If you don't agree with someone, that's just the way it is. It doesn't mean that the person you don't agree with is wrong. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to opinions. All opinions are valid. Do you like Heero and relena as couple? Fine, there's nothing we can do to change that. We don't believe Heero loves relena at all, but that doesn't make us right and you wrong.

Yaoi, and even this site, are for entertainment... something to make people happy. I believe that this is the purpose of anime--to entertain people. If it doesn't interest you, stop watching it. It's not for you. That does not mean you have to speak out about it. Pro and anti-relena sites are the same. It's to voice your opinion about what you believe, and perhaps get some people to turn a new leaf. They're not meant to send the message of, "You're wrong if you don't agree with me."

Please learn to accept others' opinions/beliefs and think before you speak. I, a person who isn't into yaoi, am defending yaoi because I think being anti-yaoi is wrong. It's like saying those who are not straight are freaks and don't deserve to live. You can't judge someone because of what they believe (umm... most of the time). I hope that by reading this, you will become smarter and have a new perspective on yaoi. Open your minds, not your mouth (unless you have something nice to say).
